"Last Year I Hired a Travel Agent..."
Last year, I hired a travel agent for a trip that's just 4 weeks away, but now her phone's not working. I’m left with no itinerary or any info. I tried contacting Apple Vacations, but they can’t assist me until they chat with the travel agent. How am I supposed to get in touch with her if her phone's disconnected?

"Online Trip Price Quotes"
I've booked through Apple a few times without any problems. I was kinda torn about which place to choose for my stay. Checked out their website yesterday, and the trips I was eyeing were in the $1500 to $2000 range per person (I travel a lot, so that’s what I expect). But when I looked today, those same trips jumped to $6,000 to $10,000 per person! Do they really think I’m that naive, that I wouldn’t notice such a ridiculous markup? The kicker is, when I searched on my phone, the prices were still in that $1500 to $2000 range. I really can’t stand sites that track you and then try to pull a fast one like this. They seriously need to work on their business ethics. This is a surefire way to drive away loyal customers (you know the saying - it’s way easier to keep the ones you have than to find new ones). If I could rate this experience a zero, I absolutely would.

"On-Line Rate Quotes for Trips"
I have booked thru Apple several times without issue. I have been undecided about which property I would like to stay at. Searched their site yesterday and the trips I was looking at were $1500 to $2000 range per person (I travel quite a bit, and this is expected). I go to search today and the SAME trips are $6,000 to $10,000 per person! Do they think I am that stupid, and I do not know any better and would actually book at that disgustingly over-inflated price? The clincher here is I searched on my phone, and prices quoted per person were in the $1500 to $2000 range.
I really have a problem with sites that track you, and then try and take advantage of you like this. Seems like they need specifically to work on the integrity of their business. This is a sure-fire way to lose loyal customers (remember the old adage - it is much easier to keep the customers that you have than to try and attract new ones to take their place). If I could give the experience a zero, I would do so.

"Issues with the Booking System"
The booking system on this company's site is really outdated. I couldn't add travel insurance for the whole group. It only covered the individual listed for each room. When I tried to change dates for those who weren't insured because of COVID, they ended up losing all their money for the trip. Each time I called to talk to an agent, I was on hold for at least an hour. Honestly, you’re better off booking your flight and hotel on your own to save the 20-30% that Apple takes from your booking. The only thing Apple does is provide transport to the resort, which you can easily arrange yourself at a fair price.

"This company's website booking system…"
This company's website booking system is so out of date. It would not let me add travel insurance to all of the group. Only insured the person who was listed on each room. When trying to make any changes and move dates for the people not insured due to co-vid they then lost all money on the trip. Waiting to speak on the phone to agents took at minimum an hour each time I interacted with them. You are better off to book your flight yourself and the hotel yourself and shave off the 20-30% apple makes off you booking through them. The only service apple provides is transportation to the resort which you can easily acquire yourself for a reasonable rate.

"Awful Experience"
What a nightmare! I upgraded to a private shuttle for my airport transfers, but when we got there, no shuttle was waiting. We ended up hanging around for two hours before being crammed onto a bus with folks from other hotels. One of the tours we signed up for didn’t really match what was advertised, but I figured I could deal with it. I chose to skip another tour and was told I wouldn’t get a refund since it was too close to the booking time. I tried calling the day before, but nobody picked up, and the staff at the resort are hardly ever available when you need help. They don’t even have laptops; they just use their phones and don’t have any of your booking details. I definitely won’t recommend this service and I’m never using them again.

"Terrible"
Terrible. Upgraded to a private shuttle to and from the airport, got to the airport, no shuttle. We were there waiting for 2hrs and then put onto a bus with people from other resorts. One tour we booked didn’t match the description, but it was fine. Decided to pass on the other tour and was told I would not be refunded because it was too close to the reservation time… I called the day prior and no one answered and their people at the resort are rarely around when you need them, don’t even have laptops (they work off their cellphones) or any of your reservation information. Will not recommend and will never use them again.

"Attempted to Reach Apple Vacations Twice..."
I tried reaching out to Apple Vacations on two occasions while I was on my trip. I got a quick email confirming they received my message, but I never heard back from them.

Apple partners with Swift Air for their charter flights. I stood in line for over an hour just to get my boarding pass on the way out, and it was over two hours on the return journey. The counter was really understaffed.

My experience with their customer support via text was also disappointing; they kept sending what felt like automated replies and didn’t really address my concerns.

I won’t be using Apple again. The only reason I went with them this time was that they had a direct flight to where I needed to go.

"Tried to contact Apple Vacations twice…"
Tried to contact Apple Vacations twice during my vacation. Received prompt email noting that they had received my message but never actually got a response from them.

Apple uses Swift Air as their charter. Waited for over a hour on departing flight in line to get boarding pass and over two hours on return trip. Counter was very poorly staffed.

Also had very poor experience texting customer support, consistently replied with what seemed were canned responses and never really answered my questions.

Will not use Apple again, only reason I did this time is they offered a direct flight to my destination.

"The most disappointing resort experience ever..."
I’ve never had such a bad stay at a resort before. Despite the hefty price tag for this trip, it just doesn’t justify the cost. I’m done with Apple vacations and their properties. I shelled out a ton for a four-day getaway, and they still hit me with an extra $100 daily fee for the so-called 'preferred' pool area. The beach? Just a patch of gravelly sand in a tiny lagoon, packed with folks and no waves. Honestly, it looks like a breeding ground for germs. When I got to my room, it was freezing cold. They sent someone over twice to fix the temperature, but in the end, they just turned it off completely. Supposedly, I’m getting a new room at 3 PM today. If I hadn’t dropped nearly $3000 on this trip, I would’ve been outta here already. Super disappointed with Apple vacations. I’ve had great trips before, but this one’s a total disaster. The resort is Dreams Adventuras in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico.

"This is the worst resort I have ever…"
This is the worst resort I have ever stayed at. In spite of the high price I paid for this vacation. It is NOT worth the money and I will never book Apple vacations again or any related properties.
I paid a lot of money for a 4 day vacation yet they charge an additional $100 a day for the “ preferred” pool area.
The so-called beach is just some gravel- like sand on a small lagoon with no waves and lots of people in it. I’m sure it is filthy and full of bacteria.
My room when I arrived was freezing. They sent someone twice to try to raise the temperature but finally they just had to turn it completely off. They are supposed to give me another room at 3 pm today .
If I didn’t pay almost $3000 for this so called vacation, I would leave.
Very very disappointed in Apple vacations. I’ve had good experiences in the past but this is a nightmare. Resort is Dreams Adventuras, Puert Adventuras, Mexico

"Avoid Booking Your Trip with Apple Vacations!"
Seriously, steer clear of booking your getaway through Apple. You’re way better off handling it all on your own given the level of assistance they provide, which is basically none. My pals and I planned a group trip to Mexico for a wedding, and let me tell you, it was a total disaster with this travel agency. Our flights got canceled and shuffled around because of some nasty weather in our connecting city, and Apple vacations was absolutely USELESS when it came to rebooking. We had to take care of everything ourselves. We ended up paying for our own hotel rooms after our flight got axed. Plus, we had to shell out extra cash for a shuttle, ferry, and taxi when we had to land in mainland Cancun instead of Cozumel. We were left to sort it all out on our own. Once we finally arrived after a grueling 30 hours of travel, our vacation wasn’t even chill because we were constantly on the phone trying to get Apple to refund us for the days we lost, all the extra transport costs, and to extend our trip by a day to make up for the missed time. No help at all. We were on our own. The resort, airlines, and transport services told us they couldn’t assist because we booked through Apple, and only Apple could make changes. But when we tried reaching out to them, they were often unresponsive since they operate during BANKING HOURS 9-5 on weekdays??? When most folks travel on weekends! It’s absurd! When we finally managed to get through, they said they couldn’t do anything and we had to contact the hotels, airlines, etc. one by one. It was a back-and-forth mess for three days. By the time our vacation was wrapping up, we finally got our trip extended, but it was NO thanks to Apple at all. We did everything ourselves. Now we’re stuck filing a bunch of insurance claims to try and recoup our money from all the canceled flights and extra transport expenses. I will NEVER book with Apple Vacations again. It was the worst travel experience I’ve ever had. It’s infuriating to think all this could’ve been avoided if they had just let us reschedule our flight when we saw the bad weather coming. But that was on a Sunday, and they don’t operate on weekends! Every time we tried to call about a new flight, they were closed and wouldn’t open until 9 the next business day! That’s when our new flight was leaving!!! I just can’t wrap my head around how a company that claims to be a travel agency could be this completely useless at organizing vacations and be closed in the evenings and on weekends! It makes me so mad. Thanks to their total lack of involvement in the vacation that THEY profited from, we had to rearrange EVERYTHING ourselves while trying to enjoy the beach that cost us over $3000!! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER EVER EVER! I’m more than willing to share this review on any platform that lets me. No one should have their vacation ruined like we did!!

"NEVER EVER book your vacation through…"
NEVER EVER book your vacation through Apple. You’d be better off booking it all by yourself considering the amount of help they offer which is ZERO. My friends and I booked a group trip to Mexico for our friend’s wedding and we had an absolute nightmare experience with this travel agency. Our flights were cancelled and moved around due to bad weather in our connecting city and Apple vacations was completely USELESS in the rebooking process. We had to do everything ourselves. We had to pay for our own hotel rooms when our flight got cancelled. We had to pay additional money for a shuttle, ferry, and taxi when we had to fly into mainland Cancun instead of the island Cozumel. And we had to organize it all ourselves. Our vacation, once we finally got there after 30 hours of travel, was not even relaxing because we were on the phone CONSTANTLY trying to get apple to refund us for the days of our trip we missed, all the extra transportation, and get them to extend our trip an extra day to make up for the days missed. No help whatsoever. We had to do everything ourselves. The resort, airlines, and transport services said they couldn’t help us with anything because we booked through Apple and Apple had to make changes. But when we tried to talk to Apple they never answered half the time because they are open BANKING HOURS 9-5 WEEKDAYS??? When MOST people travel on the weekends! Ridiculous! When we finally got a hold of them they told us they couldn’t do anything and we had to contact the hotels, airlines, etc. Individually. It was back and forth like this for three days. By the time our vacation was almost over we finally got our trip extended NO thanks to Apple AT ALL. We did everything ourselves. And now we still have to file a bunch of insurance claims to try to get our money back from all the cancelled flights and extra transport costs to get there. I will NEVER use Apple Vacations to book my trip again. It was the worst travel experience I’ve ever had in my life. To think all this could have been avoided if they would have let us reschedule our flight in advance when we saw the weather coming. But that was on a Sunday and they aren’t open on the weekends! Every time we tried to call about a new flight they would be closed and wouldn’t open until 9 the next business day! That’s when our new flight left!!! I just can’t believe a company who claims to be a travel agency would be this utterly useless at organizing vacations and would be closed in the evenings and on the weekends! It makes me furious. And thanks to their total lack of involvement in the vacation that THEY got a percentage of for our booking, we had to rearrange EVERYTHING ourselves while we were trying to relax on the beach that we paid $3000+ for!! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER EVER EVER! I will happily post this review on any site that allows me. No one deserves to have their vacation ruined the way we did!!

"Save yourself the hassle and plan your own trip"
Avoid booking with Apple Vacations at all costs. We recently went on a group trip to Mexico for a friend's wedding, and just days before our departure, we saw an ice storm heading for Dallas, where we were supposed to catch our connecting flight. To dodge any potential cancellations, we thought it best to leave a day earlier. Initially, we were set to fly out on Tuesday, but by Sunday night, we decided to switch to Monday morning. Unfortunately, since we went through Apple Vacations, we couldn't reach out to the airport or the resort directly. Everything had to go through them. To make matters worse, this travel agency operates on a strict 9-5 schedule, Monday to Friday. Who travels during those hours? They promised to check on our flight first thing when they opened at 9:00 AM, which was exactly when our flight was scheduled to leave. With no assistance from them, we had no choice but to stick to our original plan and depart on Tuesday. As we expected, all our flights were delayed, then delayed again, and ultimately cancelled. They were completely unhelpful throughout the entire day we spent at the airport trying to rebook. When we finally made it to Mexico a day late, we wanted to extend our stay since we had lost a full day. Yet again, no assistance. They informed us that we were on our own to sort everything out. After already losing a day of our vacation due to their mishandling, they expected us to do all the legwork while trying to enjoy the little time we had left. Honestly, what's the point of a travel agency if they're never available and useless in emergencies? The whole idea of using one is to reduce stress while traveling. Dealing with Apple Vacations only added to our stress. Save yourself the hassle and plan your own trip. At least you can count on yourself.
